England Report

The largest one-off race event and a seasonal highlight in England, the KARTMASTERS GP took place at PF International Circuit in Licolnshire UK.  With full grids in every category the three day event was massively attended with the best British drivers alongside world-class live coverage.  The COMPKART brand was well represent in both the MINI and X30 Sr. by MLR COMP and ST Racing both professional authorized race teams under the COMPKART UK banner.  The event was showcased by the premier X30 Sr. category where COMPKART had three drivers (Oliver Hodgson, Ben Hodge, Archie Tillett) all three drivers showed pace with Hodgson maintaining a winning pace from the first practice session onward.  Hodgson had trouble in qualifying with an irregular tire, however once rectified the Englishman moved his COMPKART through the heats and pre-final to start the final in third place.  After a set of tricky opening laps, Hodgson was able to settle in and with approx five laps to go snatched the lead in a brilliant move which he carried on to the end and claimed the win and prestigious title of KARTMASTERS GP champion!

Also noted was young Lewis Bird aboard his COMPKART under the ST Racing banner in the Mini category.  The young driver had the ultimate chance to win the final and in the last laps battled hard and secured another podium for the brand with a very solid third place finish.
