2009 Season Review

The 2009 season started off with the much anticipated introduction of the KF program in the USA.  Thanks to the hardwork of all the major supporting importers the KF program kicked off with a BANG during the 2009 Florida Winter Tour.  It wasn't long before J3 Competition was atop the leader board junior pilots Tristan DeGrand and Alessandra Madrigal with Madrigal leadig the championship chase for two events while DeGrand secured the final Cup and honors.

Coupled with the KF program was the continuation of J3 Competition's TaG and the new addition of Rotax.  J3 Competition was immediately, at the fore in TaG as Kosmic/ROK TT pilot Richard Benitez took the FWT championship.  The Rotax banner was waved significantly strong by female standout Alessandra Madrigal who positioned herself atop the charts and results during the entire FWT and missed out on a chance to take the fight to the last day with technical infraction.

Moving out of the Sunshine state and into the heart of the seaon, J3 put its foot down and stepped ahead of the competiton with the KF3 crown in the CKI championship along with several other team wins including Madrigals brillian win at the CKI final in Norman, OK.  The team competed in a various number of events ranging from WKA, FWT, Stars, CKI, SKUSA and regional events with unprecedented succes all aboard the newly homologated Kosmic Mercury chassis.  The team also enjoyed involvement from many international drivers, including 2009 Asia World Cup Champion Felice Tiene as well as many other's that made their marks at the Super Nationals in Las Vegas.

"Our 2009 season can be marked by many success and advancements across the board within our team.  Its a real pleasure to witness a team work together in full support of common goals, and we owe that to all our members."

Outside of the J3 Competition Race Department, many other sattelite teams and privateers across North America proved strong with great results which were too attributed to hardwork and the exceptional Kosmic and Vortex material.
