RAV
is the new 125cc single-cylinder 2 stroke engine by Vortex, homologated
by CIK-FIA for the classes KF1, KF2, KF3 and KF4, with reed valve admission
in the crankcase. It is mixture lubricated and liquid-cooled with integrated
water pump. It has a digital ignition and an integrated electric starter,
which the battery is dedicated to. It is provided with a balancer shaft,
which reduces the vibrations, and with a power valve for the exhaust.
The centrifugal dry clutch is monolithic with interchangeable front sprockets. The engine arrives complete with all the necessary wiring harnesses, exhaust, and batter box. The KF category (created by the Karting Manufacture’s and CIK) is the future of two-cycle Karting. The success of the class has been witness in 2007 to a large reduction in engine failures, thus making it an almost immediate success. Vortex, who is always a leader in the industry proved no different in 2007 with the RAV. Vortex captured many victories and titles throughout the 2007 season. Most notable are: KF1 World Champion, KF2 European Champion, and a win by rookie Benjamin Bailly (KF1) in the Italian Open. The dominance will no doubt continue into 2008! |
